Photographer's Note
Its floating through the abyss
Under the brig my head swings down
Beware her wrath, the image gone
The shell is crumbling, fix my frown
This spell would be clear in non-tradition
And stepping on these pieces of pain and smirk
And rape goes through to sin my eyes
And shapes know where the heartache will lurk
Forget the swan, a stone swims near
A stone has come, if I could cheer
Forget the swan
Forget the swan
Drifting among this rubble
I guess the waiting, wished I would
I found a box, untethered and true
Possession it understood
Forget the swan, a stone swims near
A stone has come, if I could cheer
Forget the swan
Forget the swan
How I tried to warn my neighbor
But the corn was much too high
In confusion up and threw him, woke up every day
But its not too late brother, Ill still say you were mine
Forget the swan, a stone swims near
A stone has come, if I could cheer
Forget the swan
Forget the swan
Forget the swan, the dreams are gone
The pain goes on, they fly at dawn
Forget the swan
Forget the swan
Forget the swan
Forget the swan

Olá Paolo, fantastic effect from the frozen part of the lake and nice placement of the swan in foreground. The way the white stripe divides the image makes a very appealing composition. Impressive mountain scenery in the background.
Very original image.

Hi Paolo,
This is a wonderful composition which works really well in B&W. The swan adds a lot to the composition and the shot wouldn't be the same without it.
Best regards,
Paul.

Beautiful photo, Paolo. I like how the lighting supports the natural horizontal layering, and the foreground swan is a fine inclusion in the way it seems to be swimming into the grand scenery. The b&w works well with good contrasts, although I don't think I would mind to see this one in color. Have a nice day.

"Is that ice over there?
Is it a swan over there?
Is nature a magician?
Does B&W suit a photo this much?
Are you a magician?
Can i eat this wonderful photo???"

Hi Paolo,
I love the black and white .. it reduces this to the essence of its beauty .. the contrast of dark to bright .. of vastness to the intimate .. wondrous image.
take care,
John

Hi Paolo,
The light layer between the two dark ones really stands out and makes an eye catching shot. I also like the triangle of clouded sky peepeing through at the top, and of course the lonely swan and the ripples around it just tops it all off. A lovely image.

Ciao Paolo,

Buona Giornata

Ciao Paolo
Black and white large stripes creating a very unusual entry here, letting to the triangular forms from the background to sit very comfortably on the top of them. Oh, and i almost forgot the swan :-)
