Mid morning on the Alps, dark sky, few light, no-colours, just snow everywhere, under the boots and over the head, on the trees, on the barns, on the cables, on the street.
Snow everywhere.
It snowed for more than 36 hours, for more than a half meter on the plateau and more than a meter over the 2500 meters.
After too many image with colorfull summer sky...a touch of fresh, cold Alpine air!

Quite a magical scene, like something from a fairy tale. It's superbly atmospheric, with the snow and the mist over the trees.
Getting a bit closer to the hut and changing the framing slightly so as to get rid of that post would have improved this further, but nontheless I think it's a wonderful image.
Imagine how great it would have been with a tiny golden light visible in the window of the hut!

You're providing us with a wide variety at the moment Paolo. Although I hate snow I have to admit it provides us with wonderful photos. I like the misty atmosphere and the line of snowy fir trees which lead to the hut. Well done

No different than an UNESCO postcard, this one only lacks the red colors of the Santa and his colleagues flying high up in the sky. Amazing and cool image, really a nice gift for those burnt out bodies under the July sun.
