‘Kruševo, hill town overlooking the plain’

Again Kruševo. This time three pictures taken in the town with more open views.

The average altitude of Kruševo is 1.350 metres.
Its houses are set amphitheatrically. In the plain below lies Prilep (the town of some previous photos).

Most houses of Kruševo have a white facade and a red roof. Yet in this photo you also see a green, two blue and two brown roofs.
For some people, the uniformity of housing can seem boring.
Living myself in a country where very different styles of buildings coexist (because in the past there were few or no urban planning rules) I’ve always enjoyed seeing some kind of uniformity of buildings in other places I visited.

On a side note, Kruševo is officially bilingual: Macedonian and Aromanian.
Two town names, Крушево (Macedonian) and Crushuva (Aromanian) are official.
Aromanian also known as Macedo-Romanian or Vlach, is an Eastern Romance language, a bit similar to Romanian. Its speakers are called Aromanians or Vlachs.
Aromanian shares many features with modern Romanian. But while Romanian has been influenced to a greater extent by the Slavic languages, Aromanian has been more influenced by Greek.

Hi Paul, I think instead that the houses all the same give a sense of order and offer a perfect photographic inspiration, nothing is hidden by tall buildings, and here we have a great example, looking in both directions. Hello Paul,
In November, after your second photo from this country, you said there wouldn't be a long series from Macedonia. This is now #26 (excluding lots of workshops). I don't mind, I like them, so keep them coming. It just makes me wonder what you regard as a long series. ;-)
Today's three photos all have very distinct compositions based on the locality of the town and its red roofs. The main photo has two fine diagonal lines and is balanced by the very bright flag and the church tower. WS #1 shows a very neat diagonal forest and a superb triangular view of almost identical buildings with the church at the top, while WS #2 shows a roof looking like a work of art. I refer to the one on the left side.;-)

Uw hoofd foto is zeker mooi meer als panorama zicht met de daken and de kerktoren
De achtergrond is even in de mist verdwenen.

Hi Paul,
Beautiful panoramic view of this charming town. Yes, uniform color and style of the roofs makes it very photogenic.
Here the presence of the tower in the right and the flag in the left, adds a nice touch.
In particular a flag is a nice addition because it confirms the country/location of the photo.
Interesting view towards the hills in the distance,

Hello Paul, three good views that show off this town so well. You chose the most interesting for your main post, although I do like the picture with the roof and it’s many materials.
We get a real impression of the height of the town as you include the plain below.
The flag and the church tower just break the diagonal line of the sloping town.
Excellent sharpness as always.

Three lovely rooftop photos from this town. I really like this kind of uniformity and feel a bit mad with the people who decided blue/green/brown was the new red! ;-)
The main image is well composed with a diagonal line of the hill and a hint of bluish distant landscape in the background. The church is very well placed in the frame too and balanced by the flag to the left.
You've just made me look in my diary again to find I definitely didn't visit this charming town so thank you for sharing!

Very nice high viewpoint over this town built on the mountain slope. The flag and the belfry are good focal points. Flat valley and mountains behind it make nice background.

A beautiful composition with this diagonal that shows a detail of part of the city, with its red roofs ascending the slope, the church stands out above all, in the background in this foreground a perspective of the valley with some mist.
You magnify the photos of the WS, I am surprised by the similarity of the houses both in height and style.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
