The Tara River Canyon (Bosnian: "Kanjon rijeke Tare", Serbian: "Кањон реке Таре", "Kanjon reke Tare", Montenegrin: Kanjon Tare, pronounced [kǎɲɔːn târɛː]), also known as the Tara River Gorge, is the longest canyon in Montenegro. It is 82 kilometers (50 mi) long and is 1,300 meters(4265 feet) at its deepest, making it the deepest river canyon in Europe. The canyon is protected as a part of Durmitor National Park and is a tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Tara River cuts through the canyon.

you show us here a fine atmosphere, fine landscape.
The viewer gets the sense that they are totally alone on the planet, a very surreal feeling.

Hej Ela, gdzieś niedawno czytałam o tym kanionie rzeki Tary. Ściany kanionu nie są takie bardzo strome , przynajmniej w tym miejscu, i ten widok przypomina norweskie fiordy. Pogoda rzeczywiście nie dopisała, ale stworzył się taki melancholijny nastrój. Piekne miejsce, mało znane.

This is a beautiful place, but you have given us the reverse of the picture postcard view. The combination of bad weather and deliberate slight under-exposure have created a sense of gloom and a moody, almost alienating atmosphere, which speaks to our primeval fears of drowning. I do a lot of sailing, but I wouldn't want to be on a boat out there! Good work.
