Red Reflection II, a photo from Friesland, North

Photographer's Note

This is the follow up of my picture Red Reflection. I standing on the same spot, but now a close up. I love all the details, such as birds, the flags, the boats and the little waves.

I had a bit lack of light. Therefore there was a bit noise. To get rit of it i run it trough neat-image and sharpen it a bit. I hope you don't mind.

A take this picture in the small village Grouw. We sleep there in a little holiday house of friends. In day time we where sailing in small boats called 'Valk'. After dinner, we walked home and the sky was so beautiful. This was the shot on the grass of the restaurant. I decided to take this shot. There was not enough light, but i tried some different manual settings. And this was the result. I hope you like it.

Niet de gootste van u Robbert, maar er zit veel kleur in, met duidelijke lijnen ten opzichte van de zon, precies of het water is rood geschilderd. Mooi werk.

It does look really good, Robbert. Very moody light with a great effect of accentuating the rippled water surface. The details with the birds, flags, building are very appealing and add up to a very relaxing total in this shot. The color setting is fabulous. Well captured.

Hey Robert! Ik vind 't resultaat erg geslaagd. De belichting is prima vind ik; de donkere silouetten maken het af. De kracht van de foto zit denk ik in de harde wind (op het water en de vlaggen) en tegelijkertijd die serene en prachtige zonsondergang. Super!

This photo is very good composition and color wise. The sharpening shows up a bit as distracting halos around the sharp edges like the flags, but not too badly. And I think you'd have to go in and blur those edges by hand, which might be considered cheating.
