No Wind, a photo from Noord-Holland, South

Photographer's Note

This i take saturday on the IJsselmeer near the city of Enkhuizen. I must work that day. For the Dutch broadcast organisation KRO, we must make a movie about the Dutch waterpolice. There was no wind. We passed this ship. I take some pictures.

I like this white colour of yacht, contrasting with great blue of sky.
There's nothing worse then to sit on such a boat and wait for wind, unless you have a sun, pretty girl and some drinks by your side... :))

Great shot Robbert, I envy your opportunity to spend so much time on water...

A simple but very successful image with the contrast between the deep blues of sea and sky and the bright white of the sailing-boat.

Phantastic, the contrast between the blue and the white. I presume that the movement in the water was created by the wkae of your boat passing them.

Pas souvent que l'on vois des photos de mer sans vent mais c'est tout aussi beau !
Le constraste des voiles dans ce beau ciel est magnifique mais est magré cela très calme ..

Nice shooting angle on this one, Robbert. I like how the Anka takes up 2/3 of your frame, and how well the boat and its bright white sail stand out against the blue water and sky. The small boats on the horizon are fine detail, particularly those "framed" right in the narrow area below the sail. Well captured.
