The Sting, a photo from Zuid Holland, South

Photographer's Note

One of the intriguing buildings in the centre of The Hague is the Snoeptrommel, also known as The Sting or The Candy Box, a round shopping centre next to the town hall.
It is an unusual clothes store in the site the former Town Hall building. It was built in 1998.
The building has colorful columns and the roof looking like a bonbonniere lid, hence the name: the Candy Box.

Une colonne en trois partie ce partie ronde quel détail et image superbe et ces petites mosaïque de couleur ces plaquettes qui recouvre cette colonnes très vives le couleurs superbe cpatage

Ce centre commercial ne manque pas d'étonner quant à son architecture et son décor particulier au niveau des colonnes et de sa conception.

Hello Ryszard,
I would have preferred the WS where we see the entire building and its lively surroundings, but I understand why you wanted to highlight this mosaic. The close view makes this a more original composition and it's no doubt a very eye-catching photo.

Interesuje mnie czy to sa cegly ceramiczne w tych kolorach czy pomalowane?
Dobry pionowy kadr i kolorystyka.

On the beautiful main photo I could not immediately bring the candy box in my memory, but the two workshop photos brought back my memory.
It shows that The Hague is an attractive mix of old and modern architecture.

I know this building in The Hague, although it is definitely not my favourite in the city. It's an excellent close-up of the colourful pattern of the bricks nonetheless. Well done.

We were at The Hague last year, but missed a lot of what you saw, a good excuse to return!

The photo in the WS makes more clear about the building and why it is compared to a candy box.
I like that picture very much and it is a very pretty street view.
Your main photo shows the details of the large columns with the differently coloured stones looking as mosaic.
