Photographer's Note
Scheduled flights to Princess Juliana Airport of Sint Maarten consist of wide range of flights from North America, Europe and neighboring islands. Besides these you see lots of business jets. And I guess the nature of the visits aren't always pure business. It's good to be rich...
This aircraft is Bombardier Global Express, an ultra long range corporate and VIP jet produced by Bombardier Aerospace.
Inspired by Landing on the beach?, of Jean Saint Martin.

Hi Kari,
I've became familiar with this place - virtually - after watching impressive landings on Youtube. It must be quite an experience to see them approaching in real life like you did.
Excellent timing, showing both the plane and amazed sunbathers. Your image efficiently illustrates the low altitude and proximity to the beach.
Cheers!

Hello Kari!
I've seen a picture like in the past in the same place, it must be really awesome seeing a plane overhead while you're relaxing in the sun! Very good at taking the time! Excellent result!

Excellent timing. Do they all come in that low? I like the people either looking at the jet or taking pictures of it just like you are doing. The plane looks like it's only 20 feet or so off the ground!

Hi Kari,
Another really cool shot of this place, the plane is much smaller this time, not alot of sand blasting in the air, but still impressive and amazing view, I sometimes wonder if accident happen here.

Hello Kari.
A plane shot, not a train shot? But there wouldn't be too many railway lines in this part of the world. Remarkable picture - it must be awfully noisy down on that beach and in that hotel or apartment block. And this one is just a business jet! Not my idea of a peaceful hour or two on the beach, I must say. But its a remarkably sharp capture, thanks to the high shutter speed, and the very bright highlights are well under control. Good shooting.

Andrew

Hello Kari,
Must be a fine place for planespotters, as they can enjoy the beach while waiting for the next arrival!
But isn't this a rather noisy place to spend the day...
A pleasant composition, good details & colour reproduction, the moment is accurately recorded!

Hi Kari
Good to see how the other half live. Ahh to be rich and travel in such luxury. But then we would miss all the variety of experiences we peasants experience in day to day travel :) Wow that plane is flying low. I can imagine it would be very loud for the beach users and those living nearby. Excellent daily life / decisive moment. Sharp, beautifully contrasted with impressive chromatic resolution.
Thanks for sharing and I wish you a happy weekend

Hello,
I am always impressed by photo from this place with sometimes big planes landing very close to the people on the beach. The contrast and opposition is very strong as on your photo.
