Photographer's Note
Back after a week in the north of the country, Friesland. Rented a small house in the forest, saw 12 other people (walkers) in the week. Sun, rain and even a little snow.
The Kale Duinen lies within the Fries Wold National Park and is one of the largest sand dunes away from the sea in the country, sculpted by wind and weather.

Hello Elaine,
I have not been to this part of the Netherlands, but it's not a scenery I would normally associate with your country. It's a rather fascinating view, almost desertlike, but as we see in the foreground also with some green areas. The stumps of dead trees are well placed in the foreground, and the colours and contrasts underscore the smooth shapes of the dunes.
Regards,
Gert

Goedenavond Elaine,
Goed foto werk, bedankt.
Groeten uit een koud Vlaanderen,
John

Hallo Elaine,
Een heel ander landschap dan waar Friesland vooral bekend van is. Het glooiende duinlandschap ziet er mooi uit in dit heldere winterlicht.

Hello Elaine
From this view, it looks like the set of the movie 1917. Life that is clinging in its effort to survive. A interesting image. Might look really nice in sepia tones.

Hi Elaine,
Nice landscape, good effect with this light to give contrast and little shadows on the ground, pleasant landscape for walk in nature, original tree as a sculpture, tfs.

Hello Elaine, Such a place away of the people is good for relax and especially in COVID times. Interesting view of the dunes.

Hi Elaine
Quite interesting and scenic inland sand dunes. The dead woods holds the focus with wonderful fresh green foreground pulling the eye into the image. Interplay of light, shade and shadow are another strong points, Congrats

Hello Elaine!
As Gert Wrote,I would not associate this view with the Netherlands.
I like a lot the green/brown contrast here and this old dead tree/trunk is very well placed in your composition.
I follow your Myanmar photos with interest and I feel bad about the news from there.
Glad you could escape from Corona in the city for a few days without taking any risk.
Regards,Ronny
