Photographer's Note

Rotterdam CS on a gloomy day. The station was completely rebuilt and open in 2014. Normally the station would see around 150,000 passengers Oper day, now it is almost deserted. Apart from trains travelling to all parts of The Netherlands, the Eurostar also starts here for its journey to London. The very spacious concourse hosts a variety of shops.
Whilst photographing the station from the island in the middle of the road, the women in matching clothes happened to pass in the frame. Click

Matching colours are among the joys of street photography. The originally designed railway station provides a fine background.

Oef dit is lang geleden dat ik nog in Rotterdam was
Het station is een zeer modern gebouw.
Iedere stad moet wel iet hebben dat een een bepaalde periode is gekoppeld
De paaltjes en de fietser er bij maakt uw foto compleet.
Goed foto werk, bedankt.

Hello Elaine,

This was an unexpected opportunity to photograph this usually busy station and show off its design, with few people in sight.
How fortunate that the two incidental figures appeared in similar coloured clothing, making your photograph seem as if it was planned with a colour focus.

Hello Elaine, a very distinctive station building, once seen you would not forget it!
A good composition; you managed to get all of the frontage into the frame.
