Tiengemeten, a photo from Zuid Holland, South

Photographer's Note

The island of Tiengemeten in South Holland has been left since 2007 to return to nature. The north of the island is called the wilderness an oasis for birds, bevers and Scottish Highland cattle. It's one of the few places in South Holland that is really silent, you hear no traffic despite only being 40 mins away from Rotterdam.

Hello Elaine,
This scenery, including the boat among the reeds, looks timeless, but the distant wind turbines remind us that the modern society is not far away. It's a photo indicating peace and silence, with mild colours and softness of shapes.

Well composed using the rule of thirds with the waterfowl at right adding focal points. A tranquil scene with good colour and sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Elaine,

my neighbour today! As far as I can see, we both follow a VERY different access to celebrate the end of winter, but this is nice especially by its foreground of floating plants. I think the ducks like them.
