Photographer's Note
During a 'walking talkshow' in the Bieslandse polder near Delft, where experts and artists worked together during performances and short lectures about the environment and the coming sea level rise because of global warming, (the Netherlands will be flooded some 100 kilometers inland if nothing will be done), I found this lovely scene between two young girls, and two young Icelandic horses. These horses are the natural 'mowers' of the 'landscape park', which is situated between the cities of Delft, Rotterdam and the Hague.
I know all about girls and horses....

I suppose that just for this two lovely ladies we should take care of the global warming (that we are already suffering here). Nice moment Rinie, plenty of innocence in the frame, a timeless sensation I do like. Kisses.

Hi Rinie,
Lovely shot ... I like the way you captured the moment. It is amazing sometimes how kids can easily gain trust with animals ... possibly it is because of their innocence and honesty with their affections. Well composed shot ... TFS.
Cheers,

Cute shot Rinie,
I like the hat of the girl to the left, and the way you show their backs. Nice "conversation" between the girls and the horses.

Dag Rinie, very good finding, the gate produces a graphical touch and the photo looks like the two worlds divided but eager to get to know each other better, nice work!

Hi Rinie. This is a very appealing shot - I love the way the little girl holds on to her over-sized hat and the way the four of them seem to be engaged in serious communication. Could wish for just a little more detail in the horses (maybe it's my screen) but anyway, I know it's not easy when they're so dark. A sweet image - lovely.

Hi Rinie. Ah, the first one with the new lens, I see :) A lovely photo of this encounter, it almost appears that the amount of curiosity involved is the same for the horses as it is for the kids. Nice lighting and summer colors, and the big hat of the one girl is a fun detail.

Alternative title: Face to Face to Face to Face. I can actually put myself in the shoes of these kids Rinir. My grandparents had horses on their farm too and I remeber coming face to face with them. To a 7 year old, I can tell you that it was like coming face to face with the Loch Ness Monster. I like this moment you captured. Full of childish innocence. Beautiful photo Rinie.

Bonjour Rinie,
Très belle image dans sa composition et ses couleurs. Le cheval mériterait d'être un peu plus visible. On ne fait pas toujours ce qu'on veut. Le tout constitue tout de même une belle photographie.

quite scary this sea level rise prediction... what does the NL foresee to prevent major damages and floodings?

Hello Rinie.
A very beautiful photo which speaks about intimacy between the children and the horses. It is completely charming.
And if Netherlands disappears under the water, we cannot either take refuge on Majorca ;(

Hi Rinie, pulling out all the cute stops here I see. That's quite a setting you've chosen here, I gues that would freeze any flick of horse's hair :-)
I was going to say welcome back too, but I see that's a bit late now.

Hey Rinie!
I see you've updated your bio photo- always nice to have a face to go along with the 'chit-chat'.
Feels like ages since I last visited your gallery. Not sure how I missed them- but it looks like quite a few! I've been a bit pre-occupied with setting up my new website as of recently (danwalshstudios.com), so I've been neglecting my 'duties' here on TE quite a bit. As I see you've been quite busy organising TE meetings there in Roterdam...
Great daily life shot. You've captured the natural curiosity of children quite well here. Investigating the barnayard animals. I like the fact that they are facing away from the camera, giving it an anonimous feel.
Very well seen 'Rinnie' ;-)
Warmest Regards,
- Dan

Hi Rinie,
I love this image! It's perfectly composed and very sweet, I like the way the girl holds her big hat. The two seem quite differnet kind of kid, by their clothes, but they fit perfectly together. Well seem and done.
Regards,
Flavia
