Photographer's Note

This time i want to show you how busy it is at a regatta. When racing there are severall fast-press boats in the field. Sometimes the reporters and the photographers want to be close to the ships. We are lucking the skippers of the pressboats are realy proffesionals. I never withness a colision.

I take this picture to show how close some ships are. This is a pressboat with reporters of the local newspaper on board. The people on the yachts where very relaxed. The man on the front is looking for other ships. He is the eyes for the skipper. Some pictures i have posted on TE where taken on the same distance. I want to share this with you.

Interesting, the photo and the note.
And the colors are so bright ! I really like them, particularly the blue of the sea, which gives all its depth to the photo.

This one isn't as good as usual beacuse of the motor boat in front of the sailboat. Still I like it because of the deepness of the blue.

Belle photo m^me si c'est pas ma préféré de ta serie mais les couleurs sont toujours un grand plaisir pour les yeux , et ca apporte beaucoup de rêves !

Looks like this one was a close call, Robbert. The motor boat really looks close to the sailing boat. While the position of the motor boat very much emphasizes the point you make in your note, I think it puts the composition a bit off-balance, as everything happens in the left half, and the right part of your picture is just water and sky. Colors and detail however are fresh and on spot as usual.

Colors are beautiful. The composition is a bit heavy on the left. It's close, but not that close I suspect, the zoom takes away the notion of distance. I have seen closer encounters than this one, but I admit, it always looks spectacular.

This has a green color cast. You can see it in the clouds & sails on the boat. The motor boat in front also spoils the composition, although it does illustrate very well just how close you need to get in another boat, in order to get a good 'up close' photo.

Yes, I like it very much, robbert. It looks like quite a dangerous manouver, too close indeed. Your shat is , as usual, very well capture, using a very low POV. Well done.

L'eau est comme a son habitude toujours d'un bleu magnifique, j'aime bien comme tu as composé cette photo, avec les gens sur le bateau, ca donne un petit plus!
