Photographer's Note

The most famous norwegian railway is Flamsbana which has connected the Flam port, laying on a sea level, and Myrdal located at more than 800m altitude. The railroad of length about 20 km has been built during Second World war for delivery of military cargoes. Here the steepness of rise is so strong that a small passenger train to have to pull by two powerful electric locomotives. Every day the pair of trains makes 6-8 upwards-downwards passages. The shot was taken from the opposite wall of impression Flamsdalen (valley of Flam river) whith the distance more than 1 km whence the train looks like a caterpillar and moves very slowly. I think Norvegians have made a bad choice on the train colour. Trains should show up against the background instead of camouflaging.
And you could have zoomed closer. Or maybe you could not, seeing your note?
Otherwise, good viewpoint, great scene and perfect timing.
