Photographer's Note
This photo was taken when a horse had been kept inside for some days due to ice. When the horse got out all energy was used and the playfull side of the animal really came out.
I knew when the horse was to be let out for a while, and went in to the field where they let it out and waited.
I guess it some times pays to know the animals.

Hei Halgeir,
Good catch of the action that we can see from the freezed attitude and the projected snow, I also appreciate the winter feel and luminosity added by the snow. For such a subject you should try a wide aperture to isolate your subject better from the surroundings, on this lens between f/4 and f/5.6.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Very nice shot
Wasn't easy to take that jumping horse, but you did very well, with great sharpness on the horse skin and spitting snow. The dark background is perfect behind that white horse, and i like the slightly diagonal position of the horse much too.
Congratulations

Hi Halgeir,
Well catched decisive moment! Very picturesque horse. As for me it'd be great to move camera a bit right to have the horse image in 3/4 but anyway well done. Regards.

Hi Halgier,
Your insider info has really helped in capturing this moment. And what a dynamic pose as well.. one which most would want to photograph a horse. the white specs on the horse'd body are well highlighted. Great work overall.

The color of the horse is quite similar to the snow and it makes a good composition.
Well shot

Hi Halgeir, An excellent shot of the “crazy horse” with nice tight frame, well shown the dynamic from the gesture and the snow it kicked up. Nice contrast of the white horse against the dark background. Well done.

Very dynamic image.
The way the photo is taken, the horse almost seems to be an extencion of the snowy ground.
Excellent capture of motion, not much motion blur I can see, but the way the snow is beaten up it makes for an action filled photo.

Halgeir...
Very good action capture, also in a pleasant composition!
The colours and details are good and a hint of motion blur even at 1/400 sec...
Nice horse by the way, what are they normally used for?
Greetings,

Probably the best in you "horses" serie, especially because of the perfect mix in color between the grey and white horse and the snow. Fine details and a very good capture of the movement, with the snow flying around. Darkground probably to sdark for me.
All the best,
Emmanuel
