Photographer's Note


Picture taken during trip in last weekend. We can see here panoramic view on Sniardwy lake- the largest lake in Poland. It is situated in the Masurian Lake District in Warmia-Masuria, Poland.

Some interesting numbers:
Total area: 113,8 km²
Size: 22,1 × 13,4 km
Max depth: 23 m, but the average only 6,5 m.
High above sea level: 117 m.

It is one of lake in great sailing route in Mazurian. There is eight Islands on the lake. Shallow areas are great place for living of many different water birds and other animals.

Photograph was taken from a watch tower in Luknajno village, west from Mikolajki.

About the picture: taken in RAF format, ISO 100, made from 5 single shots, unfortunately there is one place where connection is quite visible...
