It according to last archaeological investigations was confirmed was, that first building came into being in XII age for Boles³aw Krzywousty and she was this triple nave basilica raised for Canons Regular Lateran from Flanders. He building this was from before half XII Romanesque church in., being triple from transept, from straight with nave basilica closed presbytery and two towers western facade. The western steam from this church except foundations kept the kolumn with ankle capitals as well as the bottom part of walls of south tower and the empora. Church this was rebuilt in Gothic style in XV age. The present late baroque temple of Assumption the NMP and it is the Archangel's Michael the result of thorough reconstruction with summers 1762-1781 (consecration in 1791 r.) which the project be attributed Efraim Szreger.
