Photographer's Note

Fascinating theme…( original note - Aug. 2007))

Many moons ago, one of my photography mentors told me:
When you are photographing people's faces make sure they (those faces) talk their names loud and clear…
The ones, that don't spell their names are good enough only for a passport or a driver's license…

Dear Stan…
I remember your lessons…

Jan Gałązka.

Passionate actor, wonderful human being.
Called by his colleagues a rubber face (not very difficult to guess why? (:-)).
He was incredibly Varsoviensis … His accent, his performance on the stage, his life dedicated to the city of Warsaw…
Who else but him I would humbly ask for to give me some of his spare time to prove the theory of my mentor Stan, about talking faces

Photographs taken in & out of the 'Theatre Atteneum' - Warsaw, September 1980.

Four months later, Jan Gałązka - had passed away.

A fanfare to a wonderful human being…
