From a bike trip.

A restored post mill from 1820 in village Sobótka.
The post mill is the earliest type of European windmill. Its defining feature is that the whole body of the mill that houses the machinery is mounted on a single vertical post, around which it can be turned to bring the sails into the wind.

Sobótka is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ostrów Wielkopolski, within Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 20 kilometres north-east of Ostrów Wielkopolski.

From tomorrow I will show the interior!

It's a very plain composition, but the restored mill is pretty and the photo has very nice and bright colours. It's also very sharp and the texture of the wood has been well captured.

wszystko byloby dobrze gdyby nie fakt ze... niebo jest lekko zielone :) szczegolnie na dole przy horyzoncie. Cos sie ostatnio dzieje z monitorami :)
Tak czy owakwiatrak super fajny i pieknie pokazany przy mojej ulubionej bezchmurnej pogodzie.
Musze sie tam kiedys wybrac.

Simple design of this windmill is not as impressive as Dutch ones for example. But as such it looks very authentic. And you captured it in perfect sidelight on that fresh green spring field.
