Photographer's Note

During a bicycle trip to Kalisz, I visited an open-air museum in the Zawodzie district.

Zawodzie - the left-bank part of Kalisz situated in the Rypinek estate, approx. 2 km from dowtown, historically the oldest part of the city.
In 1299 it was founded as a village of Zawodzie under German law.
I invite you for a short walk.

Kalisz is a city in central Poland the Prosna river in the southeastern part of Greater Poland, the city forms a conurbation with the nearby towns of Ostrów Wielkopolski.

Before I read the note I thought this looked like an open-air museum. ;-) These huts are very beautiful, and they are really made of wood. It was a beautiful day exactly two years ago with perfect light and colours.

The wooden houses do look very cosy and immediately bring a sense of history to mind. What a good idea; an open air museum always feels more realistic.
Your photograph is very well considered. The aspect is good, using the gravel pathway, the huts are well arranged and the colours and details are excellent.

I love these outdoor museums. Have been to one in Stockholm and another in Goreme, Cappadocia. Good sharpness and well composed using the rule of thirds, with nice warm vs cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

I am a gladly visitor to the open air museum, but I can not still far walk, my knee become old!
Also pleasant panorama view with the wood houses with reed roof.

Przyjemnie zadbane stare drewniane domy. Interesujacy skansen. Mnie najbardziej rzuca sie w oczy piekna pogoda i zywe barwy, tak bardzo naturalne.
Ciekawe miejsce i wyglada jakbys tam byl zupelnie sam.

A good photo of a natural looking museum with nothing artificial looking. Good detail and colour and good use of the path taking us through the scene.

excellent view of this group of huts in timber. I liked their position and the structure in brown contrasting with thew greens and blue around.

Simple but very beautiful wooden cottages.
I suppose there may have been stables under the sloping overhangs.
The open air museum is nicely located in green surroundings.
