Earth Day is a name used for two different observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The United Nations celebrates Earth Day, which was founded by John McConnell in 1969, each year on the March equinox, while a global observance originated by Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in, and since January 1970 also called Earth Day, is celebrated in many countries each year on April 22, including the U.S.(Info from Wikipedia)
Even if I missed March equinox, I still have a chance to go green on TE!

Dzieñ Ziemi to nazwa akcji prowadzonych corocznie wiosn±, których celem jest promowanie postaw ekologicznych w spo³eczeñstwie. Dzieñ Ziemi obchodzony jest w okresie równonocy wiosennej na Pó³kuli Pó³nocnej oraz w czasie równonocy jesiennej na Pó³kuli Po³udniowej. Hello Joanna. This is just wonderful. You have different shades of green in pleasant lines in the foreground with the tree balances well on the sweet spot. The distant bush with pleasant diagonal light adds brilliance in the composition against the slightly overcast sky. Well done and thanks for sharing. Jusni

I wish I were there...for a pleasant walk or bike ride across these green fields instead of working in my office.

Śliczne zdjęcie pasujące do Dnia Ziemi - wspaniałe zielone pola, różne laski, jeden mały mieszany i tam z tyłu jakiś większy. Ładne optymistyczne zdjęcie. Niebo zachmurzone, ale też ładne. Świetne te różne zielone kolorki. Pozdrawiam
