Photographer's Note

I'm returning to this Serie about Faial Island and this one is taken in August Week celebrating The Sea.

In my Photo Information YOU have two WS-Workshops that are complementary or near views and are also good important ways of comunicate and share information. The first one is a View and taken a day after this of sailing boats arriving Faial and the second one is a shot made after the one that is posted and in a new enquadrement from left. I hope you enjoy this other view.

This actual Post is dedicated to the "Week of the Sea" that have place at Faial at Horta Island at the second week of August 2005 that I will post another ones in future. During this week there many nautic events and also popular and tradition festivities in the town.

Important note: These pictures were between midday and sunset time with good light and weather conditions. In the post you can see from Faial the Pico Island at right and in the middle at distance another important Island that is S.Jorge.

These beautiful Islands are located in the vast Atlantic Ocean somewhere half a way between Europe and North America.

These Islands are part of the five Central Islands, that are visited all the year for several thousand of tourists and sea navigators from all the world. It's like a world navigation network!

NOTE: The current Travel Serie would be these particular Atlantic Islands with harmonious mountains, sea scenery, walles and dolphins, cows with milk and excelent cheese for all the world, Good Wine from Pico, great wonderfull volcanic sceneries and nature and I will try to catalog in different selective ways to post.

These are natural and preserved nature wonders that have Sailors, Solitaire navigators and important world tourism and preserved Sportiv Game-Fishing with people linked to United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe and also naturally to Continental Portugal.

gosto imenso do ponto de vista e das cabecas cobertas com as toalhas (quase estilo arabe como eu tambem fazia).
as cores estao maravilhosas e a rocha em primeiro plano estao lindas. talvez seja impressao minha mas a foto parece inclinada para esquerda.

A very sharp sunny view looking over the shoulders in frontplan to the ships and the pier wit a nice formation of clouds, to the misty land at the horizont, well done Fernando.

Hi Fernando, What a place to relax. I enjoy the blue tone in this picture. The stone wall is very inviting place to sit there to enjoy the scene. You have well captured the quiet and beautiful bay. Beautiful scenery; a well composed picture.

Olá Fernando. Another beautiful seaside scene in which I think that the people sitting on the rocks in the foreground add a lot to the appeal of the scene, because they are almost in the same position as somebody looking at your photo and enjoying the sweeping view. Nice activity provided by the boats cruising in the bay. Colors are nice, perhaps the sharpness is a bit higher than necessary. Well done.

Que lugar simpático Fernando, me lembra muito um local aqui no Rio de Janeiro. É bem no final da ciclovia no flamengo, próximo ao aeroporto, lá tem umas pedras assim e tem-se a vista muito similar a essa da Baia de Guanabara, claro que com o Pão de Açúcar ao fundo.

Voltando a sua foto, gostei muito das cores e do sharpness.

Good view of the harbor and the far islands.
We can see that there is a lot of activity in this area.
So a good POV and framing with the people onn the right.

Intéressante composition où le point fort inférieur est parfaitement servi par la présence des estivants et l'horizon est bien situé sur le tiers inférieur.
