Photographer's Note
This Channel between these two Islands of Central five Azores Islands have an aproximate distance of near 10km and is that meter measure that I captured in this Tree Willow Branch in Fayal and the Pico Mountain that is a "VOLCANO" not in activity in the other Island that I will gave you here.
Dear TE friends from the new ones to the old ones this Post is a picture that was taken from the garden surroundings where I stayed in my week voyage last Summer. Before seeing my Google Map I must say that was taken by my Wide Zoom camera with a small touch zoom view and at the near end of day with the Sun at my 120 degrees right.
I give you also a Google Map with a reference CAMERA ICON with a Black Icon from where I make the shot and in the other Island at right you have this place with a Globe Blue Icon view here: Link
SOME Past POST References: If you want to see PICO from near this place in BLUE go here: Link
You can see also other reference pictures of the place I stay at Fayal here_1: Link and also here_2: Link
TECHNICAL Notes and Information: It was near ending Summer day, the weather was good, the Sun was near 120 degrees my right hand and was one my first near clear top Pico mountain shots.
I cropped a "Milimiter from the bottom and the left" that in pratique is amost negliciable for a better composition. ISO=80, Focal Lenght=78mm with a passage of NeatImage in the sky after reduction Process to Post and at end a little step of less LIGHTNESS and a little of SATURATION.
IMPORTANT: In my Photo Information YOU have one WS-Workshop that is another similar view taken from here after a time span of 9 seconds showing a not so zoomed approach with this angle and vision.
VERY SPECIAL IMPORTANT NOTE: This is just near a Great and World known Central Atlantic North Marina place and just near one hundred meters from a nice and located wonderful BAR called PETER'S that is so well known for his special "Magic" GIN formula to all the World Network North and South Atlantic sailors.
For a better reference of these lovely Islands see also my TRAVELOGUE INFO in the left of this page links, where you can see what you could expect in this preserved area of our Earth Globe and also the Unknown Portuguese Patrimony and Discovers for many.

Thanks in advance and the Best for you all.

Hi Fernando,
Great shot here. The tree as a natural frame and the sky as canvas is certainly a good idea. The mountain 10kms back with cloud forming is looking like a natural factory of clouds. Great POV, good colors and intelligent idea.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Fernando,
beautiful composed this picture, with the treebranche on the left side and the vulcano rising from the clouds on the other.
The village and the small stripe of sea are very delicate.
Thanks and regards, gerrit

Quite a vast distance covered by your framing for this one, Fernando. Good use of the foreground branches to have a vivid element of greenery, and nice to see the Mt. Pico in the distance, raising above the ring of clouds. Simple, but rather pleasant photo, and as always extensively annotated.

Hello Fernando,
Excellent how you framed the view on the Pico with the tree on the left. The depth is really good and so is the sharpness and dof.I also like the compo with the low placed horzion and much room for the open sky.
Have a nice sunday-evening,

Hi Fernando
I like the way you framed this montain (is it a volcano ?) with a great DOF and the tree in the foreground.
Good job and as each photo a very detailled note.
Thanks my friend and good evening.

The mountain (a former volcano ?) surrounded by a crown of clouds is a real success. The willow tree of the left is good but lack perhaps a bit of contrast/sharpness.
Nevertheless, a very good picture again.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Fernando,
I like the way the tree branches come all the way from the top until the bottom, it creates a wonderful effect. The different shadings of blue are also very well combined. For the volcano there's no words it's amazing.
Excellent work

Hello Fernando,
I love this composition with the beautiful tree providing a strong detail that leads to the mysterious Island in the sea with its necklace of clouds.

Hi Nando
Once more you had got a wonderful performance with left side contrastind shape and colour. The willow tree brought a contrasting and very important element to the enquadrament. Green and blue are perfectly fixed, giving the contrast the Pico's mountain needed.Once more your work give importance to the nature in Azores.
Congratulations

Bien vu !

This is a first class photo Fernando. Using the willow to frame the volcano works really well as a compositional device. The cloud around the base of the volcano is an attractive detail for us to enjoy. I think you made the right choice as your main post without the foreground detail.

Hi Fernando,
Well composed with good framing provided by the tree. I like how the natural colours of the tree provide a springlike appearance and then the volcano appears in the distance as almost from another world. The dichotomy here is great. This was a well conceived shot, Fernando, and well executed. Well done.

Bonjour Fernando,
Best regards from Belgium.

Hi Fernando - interesting to see the tree and the volcano together in this way, a clever way to frame it, and the cloud layer separating the top of the mountain adds a special appeal. Perhaps I would prefer to see more of the channel at the bottom.

Olá Fernando! Finalmente consigo ter um bocadinho de tempo para vir e apreciar com calma esta foto que tinha olhado de passada a já vários dias. Surpreende a profundidade conseguida. As folhas do arvore fazem uma boa introdução a composição. Eu gosto como as cores do céu vão mudando as tonalidades ate chegar ao Pico. Excelente toma meu amigo. 10 pontos! Uma perspectiva muito diferente das outras já vistas!

Bela vista do Pico, Fernando, também muito bem emoldurada pelos ramos à esquerda, ajudando na perspectiva e ponto de vista globais e criando uma imagem bastante atractiva.

Hi Fernando, first of all congratulations for your superb gallery!!, somehow I missed it until now but I'm so glad I discovered it in the endless world of TE. IMO in this shot the vertical approach is very original and it works superbly, with the vegetation nicely on the side running the whole height of the frame, and making the volcano to look small in comparison; it's also nice that you caught those glorious strips of sky and clouds, like in a flag; and I especially appreciate it since I wasn't aware of the Azores landscape. I also enjoyed your excellent note, including the technical info. Thanks so much for sharing this! Best regards, Daniel
