Photographer's Note
In my previous shots I post my initial approach to this beautiful S.Miguel Island situated in Azores that is a nice beautiful Portuguese archipel of nine islands situated in the vast Atlantic Ocean somewhere half a way between Europe and North America, that some new and old visitors can see, share and look. Also I posted in my Portfolio two for Flowers Island that I think that with this make two in one.
My thanks to Cristina, a very well kwown person here that is known by the nickname SNUGGLEAPHAGUS. So see her work sharing here: Link
This is one of the great and more international known Lagoons in this Island, and is called in English "Seven Cities Lagoon", that a little village with the same name boarding and surrounding the lagoon as you see here:
This is a approach with my Wide Zoom camera and in a WS-Workshop you must see another complementary shot and view other frame in a vertical way made by my Ultra Zoom camera, that naturally was made from another local but with this wonderful focusing scenery.
So two pictures and ways of view with my eyes cameras and tecnichal results and also views to you all in this particular post.
AZORES is like a VIVALDI Four Seasons of simphony and weather condition in a natural atmosphere and ambience, also in a daily life cycle but with good warm climate.
Just near of this place but in a recent high point of view I take one of this Serie that many Members like it. You can remember or view here: Link
Now my current Serie is about this particular Atlantic Island with harmonious mountains, sea scenery, walles and dolphins, cows with milk and excelent cheese for all the world, black and green Tea, pinneaple and also a great wonderfull volcanic sceneries, nature and lagoons to post, and I will try to catalog in different selective ways to post.
This is a natural and preserved Island that have many people linked to United States, Canada, North Europe and also naturally to Continental Portugal.
Note: Some sharpness that you could see is resulting from reduction my original picture to post. I didn't make any PP and only this reduction factor.
Thanks to ALL of YOU and I hope that a must of all like this new approach.
The best to you all.
Fernando

Hi Fernando, A beautiful place and a beautiful shot. I like the high position POV to overlook this Lagoon. The ocean at a distance can be seen clearly. A very natural frame using the trees in the foreground. The pattern of the clouds are very attractive. A well taken picture with a nice contrast, depth and clarity. Well done.

What a stunning shot! It seems very green so must get rain quite often. I'm still very much a learner but you have captured the scene well. I love the fluffy clouds, but am surprised they are not reflected in the lagoon.

So e pena as hortensias nao estarem em flor.
A lagoa azul as lagrimas dele, a verde as lagrimas dela.

Hi Fernando, another beautiful shot from this place. You got some excellent results too without doing any post-processing. The only thing I would do is avoid putting your horizon so close to center. But other than that another great shot Fernando!

Hi Fernando! A great shot of the lagoon from an excellent perspective. I agree with Stephen (Sinquanti) about the horizon, though here the sky is very interesting. Interesting how a tiny bit of ocean appears in the left background. Well done.

ola fernando, these asores islands seem to be a paradise, and definitely a place i'd like to live in;
spectacular view, and a lovely composition; seems like the inhabitants have a choice - bathing in the lake, or in the sea;
have a nice week, jerzy

Very good note and a nice POV - the colours are perhaps a little understated but are I believe true to life.

Very nice overall view of the place, Fernando! It's refreshing to see a place full of plants - flowers and trees. The day is wonderful as it provides the proper lighting. The place looks like the crater of a volcano, only there are plants living. Thanks for sharing, and good work! rgds.

Hi Fernando - a lovely view of the caldera, magnificent intense colour and a 5 star note, bravo. (true, every person of portuguese descent I have met in the US, Canada, even Brazil, come from these islands)

It's a nice shot, Fernando, especially the sharpness. Perhaps I would have avoided putting the horizon right at the midway point.
Nice POV from high up where you were.
Good work!

Hi Fernando
Another great shot from this spectacular place. You have a very good POV letting us see the entire lagoon. Maybe you was a little unlucky with the weather I guess. The picture has some undefined haze over it. I took the liberty to make a WS on this one.
Well done

Caro Fernando,
