Guimarães, a city of medieval origin, with its roots in the 10th century, called “Cradle City”, played a crucial role in the formation of Portugal, as the administrative center of the Portucalense County was established here and by D. Afonso Henriques, the first King Pde Portugal that may have been born here. Due to the excellence with which it preserved and recovered the medieval architectural and historical legacy, the historic center of Guimarães was classified in 2001 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Hi Joao,

A nice photo of the old town showing some lovely old buildings, and part of the old wall on the right. The little fountain in the foreground makes a good focus for the photo. Excellent sharpness and exposure.
