Photographer's Note
These insects always amazed me with their "ultra floating system" :) I know they have litlle weight so is dificult for them to drown...but they really can walk on the water!!
Hmmm...Now i´m starting to think: maybe they are descendants from "Moisés" (i don´t know the english name...but you know, the man who walked through the sea waters in accordance with the bible) ;)
So, here is a photo from the miraculous features of these nice insects :)
The litle lake where i toke this one is located at "Estrela" mountain. The colors from the water are due to the last summer fires that hapened near the lake and made the lake bottom (after the rains) have a dark grey color due to ashes deposition :(
In most lakes of this region you can see clearly the bottom of lakes, rivers...cause there is no polution here and the waters are really crystalline :)

A very clean shot. The insect is placed in the perfect spot for the composition but it could have been a little bit bigger. The reflection is fine and I like how he so in the middle of nothing! Very well done Marco!

It looks like it is standing onteh mirror, or just floating in epmty space. A very nice catch. I have to admit, i am quit amazed by these insects as well. I agree with Ebbe, your placement of the insect is perfect, but, i don't mind it being small at all. I think i preffer it this small, especially with all that empty space around it.

Great use of flat unicolored space. It's the emptiness that gives this shot it character. The bugs use the surface tension of the water.

Amazed me: why was the water so still? It's just like it 'float's in the mirror. Your note was the only clue to the water/lake, Marco.
