Photographer's Note

Built in the begin of the 20th century, the Sao bento station is located in the center of the city of Porto.
This station is famous for its azulejos.

An azulejos is an typical element of Portuguese and Spanish ( especilaly in the South) architecture. There are too azulejos in Brasil. An azulejos is a panel of ceramics squares applies to the external of interior walls of the buildings.

Hello Roger,

Railway stations are alays nice spots for the photographers.Here, you have managed to capture inside and ouside very nicely.Like the yellow trains standing outside and people waiting inside for their trains.The tile painting attracts the attention too. Sharp image with nice colors.

A well presented daily life image with a lively atmosphere. The point of view works perfectly capturing the essence of the scene very well indeed and introducing a touch of nostalgia with the tile work to be observed on the right. Good colours and clarity.

Bonjour Roger,

Tu as bien saisi l'action des personnes dans la salle d'attente de la gare. La prise de vue permet de voir les couleurs et les détails de l'azulejos ert du tableau indicateur. La lumière environnante a un bel effet sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

On n'est pas toujours inspiré dans une gare. Plutôt énervé par le départ. Quelquefois la verrière est belle et photogénique, quelques fois une belle voyageuse devant une murale de faience.

Azulejos decorated RR station in Porto was an interesting stop in town, Roger.
You show well life go on in the station with modern yellow cars, while the walls tell about history and old time in the impressive country.
Fine shot, well managed indoor's.

Hi Roger,
A fine capture of daily life! There are groups of people, clealy not connected to each other but still part of a common scene. There are a fine pattern from the timetable board and also a very interesting work of art in the form of the ceramic tiles. The yellow trains add to the composition.

Hello Roger, Clear and sharp picture of this train station. I like the fact that you managed to show a train as well. Your having a pictue within a picture is great.
