Detail of fountain on the Pedro IV Square (popular name is Rossio Square).

There are two brass fountains placed on both sides of D. Pedro IV statue pedestal.

I'm surprised this has passed without comment for so long, and am happy to be the first. This is a great frozen moment - the statues themselves are presented in an eye catching way that provides depth, you've got nice rich colors here, and the light - with the statues bright and the fountain itself dark - makes for a great composition. The droplets of water add another excellent dimension and artistry. Nice shot!

Good Morning Eliza,

I have to agree with the previous comment, a photograph that deserves more critiques!
The viewpoint uses the statues well, creating a natural movement from the f/g to the b/g via a l/r diagonal. the colours are strong and the focus sharp. The water droplets create a sense of festivity and exhuberance.

I like this one too!
Sharp fg, blurred bg, colors, exposure, horizontal format, black & white borders, chosen pov and, above all, composition are all excellent photo qualities and certainly pleased me a lot!
