Tagus River
The Tagus (Spanish Tajo, Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtaxo]; Portuguese Tejo, Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈtɛʒu]; Latin Tagus; Ancient Greek Τάγος Tagos) is the longest river on the Iberian Peninsula. It is 1,038 km (645 mi) long, 716 km (445 mi) in Spain, 47 km (29 mi) along the border between Portugal and Spain and 275 km (171 mi) in Portugal, where it empties into the Atlantic Ocean at Lisbon. It drains an area of 80,100 square kilometers (30,927 sq mi) (the second largest in the Iberian peninsula after the Douro). The Tagus is highly utilized for most of its course. Several dams and diversions supply drinking water to most of central Spain, including Madrid, and Portugal, while dozens of hydroelectric stations create power. Between dams it follows a very constricted course, but after Almourol it enters a vast alluvial valley prone to flooding. At its mouth is a large estuary on which the port city of Lisbon is situated.

Hello Paulo,the industrial nature of the BG adds interest to the evening sky.
The setting sun is well positioned and the photo has good recession with the figures walking nicely into the frame.

Ah! You are back! Very good!
Hope every thing is fine with you...

And you are back with a very intense image, not only because it's a sunset, but It's the composition which makes it so effective and expressive. The walkway assure a fine perspective and the Belém tower is like a vision in the distance. Even the cranes contribute to make it interesting while the sailing boats near the sun add a romantic touch. I think that you did a very good PP to get that reflection on the sea with no burnt parts.

Hello Paulo,

very good composition with excellent use of a long focal length, to increase the size of the sun and excellent reflex that used a graduated filter gray, to keep the details of the scene without burning the sky.

Longa ausencia, hein:)? Mas voltas com um bonito por do sol. As cores estão excelentes e a composição tambem. Gosto especialmente das silhuetas das pessoas com o Padrão ao fundo.

lovely sun set shot captured from harbor area with a nice chosen POV...like the magical red tone sky with falling sun into the golden tone sea...the walking man in BG add a fine touch for this image...
good DOF controlled with nice light management...nice color tones & sharpness also good...
