Photographer's Note
This is the fourth photo of Monsaraz old village Serie. Is a nice street view and also a tribute to this very nice, old, typical, touristic and historical village at the interior South of Portugal. This is a fortified village with a old Castle at the province of Alentejo, and near the frontier with Spain.
LOCAL: This village, is a touristic and historical old reference of Portugal and so you have the brother and sister at the the village of Reguengos of Monsaraz a few miles near this place that is well known for his good Portuguese wine.
This next information guidelines are a reference given done by two great TE Photographers about this village and their posts that you can also see in my links.
By VAGABOND: Monsaraz is a Medieval village, born inside the remparts of an old Castle, 50 kms or 35 miles SE of Evora Town and 40 kms or 25 miles away of the East Portuguese border. Every building was rebuilt in the last decades and are now worth a look. At the old remparts, it is possible to have a good view to the new Alqueva Dam, built recently at the Portuguese course of Guadiana River
By RETAGGER: The tiny medieval walled town of Monsaraz with it's narrow cobbled lanes is one of the most atmospheric places in the Alentejo as it still retains much of it's medieval charm. The rural way of life has stayed much the same for centuries and generations of farmers have gone about their daily lives almost untouched by the busy world around them.
The town was handed over to the Knights Templar before Dom Dinis added the castle and fortified walls in the 14th century. From these walls you can gaze east over the Guadiana river to neighbouring Spain, or west across the great plains of the Alentejo.
IMPORTANT Note: About this place I will show all the other TE Contributions to this old and historical village that is also like another Portuguese village that is OBIDOS a place also to visit and that you can see here: Link
For a real Google Localization of this old Village, Reguengos de Monsaraz and where I took the shot you will visit here: Link
I hope and I think you like this picture of this old and beautiful Portuguese village.
Thanks for seeing my pictures and beautiful peaceful places to stay.

Our pics on the same page....
Here, I like the playing between light and shadows, a lot of details, I've never been to Portugal, but I have to, I think (but my list of countries is so long...).
I like this scene without tourists, nice done, Fernando !

Uma foto boa mostrando bem uma rua Portuguesa. Gosto das sombras dos telhados, e a calcada bem tipica.
Os letreiros estao bons tambem.
Parece me que podria ter ficado um pouco mais nitido.

That is true that it is a beautiful village, that I would visit at the time of next holidays in Portugal.
I like this kind of image which shows lanes typical, and it fails only one human factor to make live the image.
On the other hand the image leans a little and I find it slightly under-exposed.
I propose a small WS to you, by wishing that you'll like it.

Um bonito registo de uma das preciosidades do nosso cantinho... O que mais me agrada nesta foto é a luz excelente e os contrastes perfeitos com as sombras da rua e das paredes. Grande trabalho Fernando, parabéns!

This is a nice quiet picture. It gives the impression of a peaceful village life.
I also noticed a recurring theme of a lot of blue and white in your pictures which is quite nice and refreshing to the eyes.

Bom enquadramento, a foto ganhava mais nitidez na profundidade de campo se tivesses utilizado por ex:f/16 ou 22.
Boas fotas

Oh,yes,it's very beautiful, really it's great serie about this old village you posted here, and you know, the white walls and B.Flowers between them are very intresting for me,and you show there in a great way,...the lane with slithy slope towards depth of lane has a fine prespective, too.

I like this old village photo with the narrow cobbled street, iron lamps and white buildings. It must have been difficult to capture this with the strong sunshine and white walls, and I like the workshop that Armandino has made with a little extra contrast. Very nice composition.

I prefer this realy clear and clean impresion of this old streat, organic where nothing is straight with a good left dark bordering towards the perfect perspective from aside and all the fine details. Fine view Fernando.
