Photographer's Note

Continuing my Sintra's series: if I wanted, I could post just photos of beautiful things and very famous monuments; but I think that is not the "real reality". So, on this one I want to show you a different perspective.
In my opinion, this is a "different perspective", in many senses, and I like it...

A unusual position Paulo, for make this picture, it perspective is very beautiful, the colours really, the wash is a excellent detail above, weel seen Paulo!

An interesting choice for another perspective on Sintra. And like you say it is real reality. I like the excellent textures on the surface here. The mix of worn stucco and paint offers a great feel. The windows lined up with the circular opening at the bottom mixed with this perspective offers a great line up. It's a well chosen point of view to capture the feel, also, of narrow streets with light at the top and shade in the alleys. Nice view.

The gutter pipe draws a nice diagonal. The state of the wall is interesting. Is it moss that gives it the brown colour ?
I like this kind of pictures. I don't think photography is about picturing classical, acknowledged beauty. It is more about renewing the way we look at the world or at least educating the eye.
