Photographer's Note

5 years after the land on this slope was abandoned as pasture, it is now covered with cactii (opuntia), agaves, blooming red lantanas and even a few endemic plants are still fighting to survive.

Unlike 1 km farther south, at the mouth of this creek, the slopes still used as pasture do change colors in winter, from brown/yellow to green.
100 meters difference in elevation do make the difference here.
