Hello friends,
Near the town of Serpa he crossed the Guadiana River and this is the view is towards the north (east), the background we can see an old abandoned railway bridge.
just walked over the bridge was very hot about 35 degrees C or more and the light is immense.

The Guadiana (Spanish pronunciation: [ɡwaðiˈana], Portuguese: [ɡwɐðiˈɐnɐ]), or Odiana, is an international river located on the Portuguese–Spanish border, separating Extremadura and Andalucia (Spain) from Alentejo and Algarve (Portugal). The river's basin extends from the eastern portion of Extremadura to the southern provinces of the Algarve; the river and its tributaries flow from east to west, then south to the border towns of Vila Real de Santo António (Portugal) and Ayamonte (Spain), where it flows into the Gulf of Cádiz. With a course that covers a distance of 829 km, it is the fourth-longest in the Iberian peninsula, and its hydrological basin extends into an area of approximately 68,000 km² (the majority of which lies within Spain).

Etymology
The Guadiana drainage basin in the Iberian peninsula

The Romans referred to the river as the Anas, from the Latin "Flumen Anas", which means "of/or pertaining to ducks". During the Moorish occupation and settlement, the name was extended and referred to as Uádi Ana (uadi being the Arab term for river), later passed on to Portuguese and Spanish settlers as the Ouadiana, and later just Odiana. Since the 16th Century, due to Castilian influences, the name has slowly evolved to taken on the form Guadiana, a cognitive variation that developed from many Moorish-Arab river place-names using the prefix guad (such as the rivers Guadalquivir, Guadalete, Guadalajara or Guadarrama). There is controversy about the exact source of the river in Castilla-La Mancha (see Lagunas de Ruidera). The river flows east to west through Spain, then it flows south through Portugal. It flows into the Gulf of Cádiz, part of the Atlantic Ocean, between Vila Real de Santo António (Portugal) and Ayamonte (Spain).

Olá Gonçalo.

muito bonita e tipicamente alentejana esta vista em que o Guadiana e a antiga ponte ferroviária cortam um pouco da típica paisagem alentejana.

Embora a luz estivesse forte conseguiste uns bonitos tons quer nos campos quer no céu.

Já agora que triângulo é este do lado esquerdo?

The length of the river is giviong depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the bridge and of the scenery. The afternoon light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Very nice panoramic picture of that bridge. The sharpness is good. The dark triangle on the left does disturb me a bit. I've try to crop it to centre the attention to the bridge. Have a look.

Why did you go out in such a hot day? better stay indoors... anyway the vast place, with the dunes and green veg. are mingled well in scenery, and the river like a blue strip accross.

Excellent infor notes of a rewarding view with a good combination of subtle light, colors, fine details and the contrast is superb. This image renders a sweeping view so much to enjoy in great depth. The spanning bridge and meandering river certainly special as strong focal of interest. What an experience to be up there immediately conjured the feelings of awe. A breath taking vioew indeed. You're capturing well this landscape by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the land with rich green, winding river and the railway bridge built over a river. And, the reflection projected to the river draws out an additional good atmosphere.
