The procession...IV, a photo from Evora, South

Photographer's Note

Two years ago I posted s photo of the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Esperança - (Our Lady of Hope), situated at the top of a hill, a few kms far from Alcáçovas. It was built in the same place of a former Manueline church devoted to Senhora da Graça. It belonged to the Dominican Order and was inhabited by a small community of monks till the 18th century, when the Order was extinguished and it became private property. During the last centuries, many miracles and supernatural events have been attributed to Nossa Senhora da Esperança and every year there's a feast in this place. There's a procession and the people from Alcáçovas and nearby villages come and spend the day in this place.rnLast year I've been there and this year I joined again. Here's a photo, it's the reflection of the moment the procession is coming out of the church.

Marvellously surreal reflected image: in the bell of a trombone, if I've understood it correctly. Most photographers would have busied themselves with the procession itself, but your eye has seen something much more interesting, and artful. Excellent work.

Hello Ana,
This is a nice way to show us the procession in an unexpected way. The reflections are partly distorted in an interesting way but most of it still clearly identifiable. The colours and sharpness are amazingly good.
