Poppies..., a photo from Evora, South

Photographer's Note

Something I really like is to go out to the fields of the Alentejo, especially when the Spring comes. Now, most part of the flowers are already gone, as the heat is here to stay but it's still possible to find some very special places. Here is a wide field of poppies.

Hi Ana. Top shot in which the white of the poppies contrasts so well agains a magnificent sky. Nice POV at the flowers' level and fine sense of depth. Great sharpness as well. Regards. Klaudio.

I missed seeing the poppies in Tuscany, so its nice to see yours. The white poppies contrasts so well with the deep blue sky. Well captured with the forefront single poppy as the highlight !

I like poppies very much, we associate poppies with red but I like all colors, a very nice photo, well captured against the blue sky

Hello Ana, Delightful view of this field of white poppies. what are they used to? In Poland the cookies with poppy seeds are very popular and necessary for Christmas. But the filed can not be too big. Fantastic this big flower against the deep blue sky.

I really like the low POV you chose and the perspective down the narrow path through this field of white poppies. I really like the way you included this one large poppy in the foreground. It contrasts very nicely with the blue sky.

Hello Ana,

I am not sure but I think this is blue moonseed, or a type, becomes use in the farmacy against cancer.
In the Netherlands to the fields the farmers, under heavy control of the government and university.
You chose a very nice angle, low taken betweeen the flowers.

Striking and wonderfully beautiful summer shot with the white poppies coming out gorgeously against the dark blue sky. Looking out of my window, I can only see grey and rain, so far summer has eluded us over here, so your photo is a real cheer up composition.

this is a brilliant composition! I love it!
The poppy flower makes a wonderful foreground while at the back we see the whole field with them.
Fantastic depth of the field!
Well polarized sky allowed a great contrast of the white and blue.
