Castro Daire

Photographer's Note

This year I've followed the Route of Transhumance also in Castro Daire, in the Montemuro Mountain. This was once the end of the Last Route of Transhumance that lasted for around 5 days. In the old days, the shepherds used to bring the sheep and goats from the Serra da Estrela to this mountain, in summer. It was a long way that used to take around 5 days. The Route I followed started in Castro Daire and finished at the top of the Montemuro Mountain (around 20 km).

Bonjour Ana,

Une très belle série sur la transhumance. J'aime beaucoup la proximité avec le sujet tout en gardant son intimité intacte.La profondeur de champs est excellente et les petites fleurs jaunes sont très belles.
