The mountain in autumn, a photo from Guarda, North

Photographer's Note

Autumn is surely a great season to visit the Estrela Mountain, the highest mountain in Portugal. It's still soon to see any snow but the mountain has such beautiful colours. This time I went for a walking route in the region of Manteigas and I had the chance to cross this beechwood, one of the most beautiful places there.

Yes great Autumn image at all! So thick fallen leaves seems to be a gorgeous carpet. Sharp contarst of green against chachol is very eye-catching.

Hi Ana,
lovely photo of nature. It feels as if two seasons were mixed here: the upper part feels so intensely green as if it was spring and the bottom of course is the classical autumn.
Well used motif of the road. Trees add a vertical aspect.

A lovely representation of Autumn when the sense of peace and calm comes across. Very nice comp, love the colors and am drawn to fallen leaves in the foreground to pull the eye through the scene. The lead is just perfect, the colour pop is spot on and the catch light is stunning which makes all the diff there. Lovely take, Congrats

Ce chemin forestier recouvert de feuilles mortes, forme un tapis de toute beauté, par temps sec, l'on doit entendre craquer les feuilles sous nos pas.

The most beautiful in the small series of 4 pictures on the theme.
Depth and clarity, light and colors, especially the golden leaves on the ground - all wonderfully culminate here.
