The mountain in Autumn ...III, a photo from Guarda, North

Autumn is surely a great season to visit the Estrela Mountain, the highest mountain in Portugal. It's still soon to see any snow but the mountain has such beautiful colours. This time I went for a walking route in the region of Manteigas and I had the chance to cross this wood, just beafore the other beechwood I've posted before.

Hello Ana,
The vertical shape suits this fine B&W photo excellently. It underscores the height of the trees and accentuates the smallness of people in nature. The woman is perfectly placed in a sunny spot. The contrasts of light and dark areas are perfect.

its not too often we see autumn shots taken in black and white, nothing wrong with that, something a bit different.
that lone person makes a great impression, and an important one too. and its cool that she's in the light whereas the shadow is just infront of her. nice shot
