Photographer's Note

This one is my last of Fayal Island for a moment and I will begin some posts in TE future with the brother Pico Island that are both near located at Azores archipel at North Atlantic ocean near the middle between Europe and America.

The weather was good with a mist of nice sky with some clouds, the time was near midday and I had the sun rays at my near left by 90 degrees.

In my Photo Information YOU have also another Workshop that is a complementary view and taken one minute after this post with a complementary approach to Horta Town seen by this high point of view in a different angle.

Technical Information: As NORBERT by Nickname NWOEHNL says in the critique it was best possible a few less of Sharpness in this picure. In fact, he is a really observer and he knows well without any question that the reduction factors for real post put a high level of conditionating factors for posting and a resulting final decreasing quality picture.

Thanks NORBERT, for your opinion to me and advice to other TE Members that you share in your excelent critique to my post with fine objective point of view. You are a great Master and reference Photographer with excelent Landscapes.

Aditional: ISO=80, Focal Lenght=27mm, cropped a little in the lower base, a smell of contrast and HUE, and at final was soft Filtered by NeatImage in the sky for reduction conditions for posting at TE conditions.

These two Islands Faial and Pico are part of the five Central Islands of Azores and are visited all the year for several thousand of tourists and sea navigators from all the world.

These are natural and preserved nature wonders that have Sailors, Solitaire navigators and important world tourism and preserved Sportiv Game-Fishing with people linked to United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe and also naturally to Continental Portugal.

Hi Fernando, I like the composition of this picture. Nice colors and beautiful scenery.
I’d image that it would be great if you could include the very tip of the peninsula on the very left.
You have well divided the picture with the natural lines and curves the environment provided. Nice contrast and sharpness.

Good composition, Fernando, with this deep seaside view in lush summertime colors. Good inclusion of the curving wall in the foreground, and nice angle to show the way in which the island meets the sea, with rich details on the small town. Watch out for the sharpness, it is almost too strong (but still okay). Nice photo.

A beautiful landscape with the shore line beautifully delineated. The exposure is wonderful and the colour nice and rich. I like the curved wall as it adds an extra dimension to the composition. The sky is in reasonable proportion to the overall composition and is a soft colour to compliment the overall look and feel of the shot. A nice summer feeling, indeed. Well done.

Hi Fernando. The bending wall and the rest of the view seem to work well together. You have the horizon well placed for the perfect amount of sky and clouds. Personally I think the sharpness is fine. Well done Fernando.

Bonjour mon ami Fernando,
C'est très intéressant de publier plusieurs photographies, nous pouvons ainsi comparer la façon de cadrer et la façon de valoriser plus ou moins la qualité de la prise de vue.
La photo publiée, prend, à mon avis plus de force. En effet, celle présentée en atelier semble avoir été coupée et ne permet pas de voir dans son entier ce très beau panorama.

Boa noite Fernando,
Lindíssima vista da cidade da Horta! Adoro o enquadramento com esta bonita guarda de pedra encurvada, oferecendo uma excelente profundidade de campo. Para mim a qualidade está excelente, com muito boas cores e nitidez de imagem, que em casos destes podem ficar com a vista em sobreexposição ou pouco nítida. Mais uma vez o excelente sentido de partilha, ao referir o excesso de 'sharpness' da observação do Norbert, em vez de incluí-lo num 'reply'. Muito bem!
O tempo parece de facto magnífico. Gosto do pormenor da nuvem no canto superior esquerdo.
Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho! Vamos lá para o Pico...
De repente lembrei-me. Nunca visitou as remotas ilhas do Corvo e das Flores?

You must have taken hundreds of woderful pictures from your trip in Acores Island. And every time you have a different place or a different POV. (I can imagine that you saw the island only from the ViewFinder of your camera :D)

Excellent composition from a great POV, with very good depth and perpsective. Colours and lighting are superb. Splendid shot!

a lovely view that is very pleasant to the eye. The geometrical features are excellent, the wall and coastline are wonderful curves and the rolling terrain harmonize with these curves. The photo is also very interesting to watch for all its detail. Great work!

Thanks for the link to the map,now I know why you have so many boat shots.
The more I discover your pictures,the more I want to visit this area.
Good idea to have included the circular wall which sweep us around this good composition,
I like to see all thoses houses built on the side of the mountain,evryone has a nice view,must be a paradise.

Ola Fernando,
You've captured wonderful light a color; when I see this blue, I think of you. I think it is your trademark. As others have commented the curve of the way complements the curve of the bay. The curve of the seawall seems to add a little exclamation point. I also like the lovely clouds.
