Photographer's Note
This is a Picture taken from the boat with a personal TILT approach. This transport makes the daily public Sea channel voyage between Faial and Pico Island at Azores. Now I present you with a tilted view another angle of the known STAND DOWN Rocky Islander that stays near Madalena at Pico Island. This is a nice and curious rock formation with a Entry like a inverted vertical fish shape door or entry in the middle of the Islander, giving a narrow window to the other side.
PLEASE See my WS's for reference, Links and also my Technical Information for a better information.
This post is DEDICATED to TE French Photographers that also like SEA and are also oldest friendly critiquers of my work and posts, that are JMDAOUDAL, JEMAFLOR and DIDI that I thank very much for their positive critiques and good work.
To DIDI that I think he don't likes the TILT but I promised to him a different approach view in a past post of this nature in another angle and day that you can see here: Link
From him I received a good WS for complementary guide information.
ADITIONAL INFO: For a different view you can see this and the STAND UP Islander at a previous post here: Link
Also, you can see another picture from interesting Islanders at the S.Miguel Island here: Link
IMPORTANT LOCAL CAPTURE: If You want to see the Local where I took this picture I give a Google Map with a reference GREEN CAMERA ICON here: Link
Technical notes and Information: This was taken after midday from the boat, the weather was not so good, the Sun was near my right frontal view and it was a few brighty and cloudy moment.
ISO=64, Focal Lenght=38mm with NO cropping by my personal option, a smell of Hue and BLUE after reduction for post and of Neatimage filtering in the sky.
IMPORTANT Note: In my Photo Information YOU have a Travelogue of my voyage and two WS-Workshops. Both are pictures taken in a before interval of 30 seconds of this one with the same camera and without any filters. Now I have ones but here no.
These beautiful Islands are located in the vast Atlantic Ocean somewhere half a way between Europe and North America. They are natural and preserved nature wonders that have Sailors, Solitaire navigators and important world tourism and preserved Sportiv Game-Fishing with people linked to United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe and also naturally to Continental Portugal.
Thanks in advance and I hope you like this Tilt Artwork of Nature with this View. Best to you all.

Boa tarde Fernando, and experiment from you with tilt, harsh contrast and a some over exposure......and why not! It dramatizes the image and amplifies the feeling of movement. There's als an almost abstract quality to this one that I like. Good work,
Have a nice week and best regards,
Bert

Hi Fernando, Congratulations to your 200th post. You have been established yourself with your fine collection of ocean pictures in TE. I have enjoyed all of them. A nice and creative tilt shot to show the special landscape in this picture. I have added this photo to the theme “tilt-society”. Thanks for the extra photos to show the details of the rock formations.
Correction: Congratulations to the 200-1 post :D

Bom trabalho
Beijos

Hi Fernando. Congrats on #199 and we patiently await your #200. The tilt spices things up and adds a lot of dynamics. You've got good contrasts via the silhouette. Nice shot!!

Hi Fernando! Looks like you've been bitten by the "tilt" bug! Did you really tilt did intentionally or were you falling from the boat when you took this? :) Nice experiment though, it makes the waves look stronger! rgds!

Hi Fernando,
I thought I saw yesterday in a glimpse your 200th picture. I’m I wrong or did you miscount? (I noticed Papagolf 500 – Galmeida 200 – funny) Anyway well chosen tilting here. This give a lot of movement and schwung to the picture and makes it much more exiting. You feel like you are in the boat by yourself.

Bonsoir mon ami Fernando,

Ricardo

Ola Fernando
You must be saving 200 for something special? Not a shot for those who suffer easily from seasickness. The tilt is okay here, as it adds context. Parabens & obrigado!

Dear Fernando,
Indeed you have to as a artwork, maybe unusual picture of you, but I appreciate your experimental image, I like the contrast in these picture, and certainly the different link in your interesting note.
Have a nice day,
John.

Hi Fernando,
Thanks for citation, and be sure that it is a shared pleasure to be on the site in contact with you.
True its been a long time we share here and have talked about a lot of thing from photogtraphy or other subjects, and this will go.
The composition, as usual When I have time I try to critique with the subject, the artistic and the technical point if it is a technique I make myself works, and of course here this is Tiltizm and the famous Theme from Zepi.
Won't develop about the subject I like much from Azores, for sure we will go there once in our life after visiting with you and portuguese or American photographers. For the tilt this is a difficult technique that has not yet any theory but only what the eye can appreciate, and here I would say the Tilt with a Human subject is easy as you use the person as an Axis in the frame, and for a landscapre very difficult because you have with this principle to find this axis and and project. So here for Balance I would say the Rocks is a bit to important and High and the seascape not enought projected in perspective...
So the construction in looking like this is a bit flat and not enough perspectived. But this is My POV and I am the only Theorician in the world for this :-)))

Hello Fernando,
Interesting experiment,-a tilted landscape.A good action shot anyway with those strong waves from the boat.

The use of the tilt here could be an analogy for your motion on a rough sea. What I really like about this is the little triangle wave near the centre. I await #200.

As cores do mar e do céu acrescentam o resto.
Fernando.

Hi Fernando,
You got an interesting result by tilting the image; it produced a visually attractive photo.
The sharpness is very good.
And well, now I expect some special celebration for your 200th!!!

Hello my friend,
[joke one] your photograph strongly leans, then I propose a WS to you to rectify the horizon. [/joke off]
Very good idea to have instigated the photograph by leaning voluntarily the camera, in more the clapot of the wake of the boat adds the key final of this superb photograph.
Very beautiful creation, abraço, Armandino.

Hi Fernando,
I agree with Bert's comments that this has a bit of abstract quality to it. I like your tilt and the dynamics with the foaming water. One feels as if one is careening along on some wild ride with the spray in the eyes....Very well done.

Thanks for your attention in your note.

One of the things I like about this photo is that sharp wave right in the middle. It makes the tilt work, because it adds a kind of "edgy" mood to the image. Nice work and fun experiment, Fernando!

Hi Fernando,
Your workshop is well appreciated; It contains additional informations on this lovely place.
Here the photopgrapher succeeded in puzzeling the viewer. The horizon line is not at level, and the sea is calm. Photographer succeeded in giving the illusion of a lot of surge and pitching in a calm sea.
Jean-Pierre
P.S. 199 posting pictures is quite an achievement...Congratulations
