The pleasure of cycling trough the fields of Alentejo.
The road, empty, for ourselves... Everyone is on the overpopulated coast, on vacacions, filling all the pretty beaches.
Alentejo's roads are empty, only for ourselves... Fealing the wind on our faces,
The yellow colors of Summer, on the fields.
Cycling in Alentejo is such a pleasure...

I understand very well all what you said about the pleasure, and freedoom that you can feel while cycling, being addicted to such an activity; However, the lack of light on the bicycle, which is in the shade is a very bad point.Also, the frmaing is strange with that kind of side road hill on the right. I am not really convinced, in fact.

Olá Ricardo,
Este é daqueles casos em que não era preciso nota, a imagem diz tudo.
Não concordo com limule. Acho que a ciclista fica muito bem em negro com esse fundo dourado.
Também acho que é um prazer andar de bicicleta nessas estradas alentejanas, mas Agosto é demasiado quente (parece-me, pelas sombras e luz, que a foto foi tirada numa hora de menor calor).

Para ser franco Ricardo, acho que esta foto está demasiado na sombra. Eu teria cortado a parte inferior, algures abaixo da bicicleta, assim como um pouco ao lado direito. Coloco no WS a minha ideia. Tirando isso, conseguiste registar as cores naturais do verão alentejano.

I like your description and how you enjo it the life, wonderful.
I like the picture not juts because the freedom and the happines you descrip us in the cpic, I like too the contrast of the sun and shadow and the free than this person can trasfer to us. This picture looks like a wonderful summer time with a beautiful day to enjoy it.

I like in this picture how the woman on the bicicle seems escape from the shadows and to go towards a lovely sunny day..

Le personnage à bicyclette est idéalement placé dans la composition. J'aime le cadrage qui laisse le mystère entier, qui y a-t-il après le virage ?

bonito juego de luces y sombras. La imagen de la ciclista bajando, que le da dinamismo, y la curva de la carretera, forman una composición agradable, muy bien iluminada, y con un buen equilibrio entre las zonas con luz y las partes en sombra.
Buenos colores también, es una foto muy limpia.

Hi Ricardo. Good composition with the cyclist going around the bend of the road. The light contrasts that you faced were quite difficult, but overall it turned out well and I like the golden glow that is rendered in the slope at the left. Nice photo.

I see in your intro that you have a trip to India coming up soon - enjoy and I'm sure you'll bring back loads of interesting photos ;)

I like the way you use light situation to make almost a silhouette of the woman on the bike!
Situation is well framed in a dynamic capture, I almost get a feeling the image is silghtly tilted...
Good lines in composition, elements are well balanced!

Bela foto com esta senhora passeando-se de bicicleta pela calm do Alentejo. Gosto da curva que a imagem apresenta e das tonalidaes douradas da parte superior da imagem assim como das sombras projectas na parte mais iluminada da foto.

I hope you're enjoying my country. This is a fantastic shot you posted when I was away. The silhouette effect is stunning as the cyclist emerges from the shadow along the curve of the road into glorious sunshine. I think she's perfectly postioned in the frame..Well done my friend

That is a quiet place and a nice activity.
