Yellow hat kids, a photo from Leiria, North

Hi, TE friends. I'm back and on the next days I'll upload some photos taken in my vacation at São Martinho do Porto.

The São Martinho do Porto bay is known as «the children's beach», because of its calm water and usually small waves.

Every Summer, many schools from near villages organize excursions to São Martinho, to let their children enjoy the beach together. To make the job of the teachers easier, each school chooses the color for their hats.

It's very funny watching those small groups of kids with colored hats. These are the yellow hat kids!

Very cute image. I've never been to this place but I think you did a good job with the colors, as they seem natural and not over-saturated. The blues are rich, the yellows are bright and the sand looks good. Very nice overall composition.

Hi Pedro,

it's nice that you caught that background, one can actually see the familiar S. Martinho do Porto bay and your subjects are perfectly framed in this background.

To me, it does look a bit over-saturated... just a bit.

What I like most about this photo (apart from being cute) is the dynamics of the line: the ones lagging behind, distracted; the ones holding hands in the middle; the ones rushing forward at the front. This truly is a line of schoolchildren with all that goes with it. Good catch.

Olha o homem voltou de férias. :) Realmente a linha de chapéus amarelos faz a foto. Isso e a dinâmica própria das crianças. Gostava que tivesses mais perto (não usando o zoom) para poder apreciar os vários detalhes, mas a composição não está mal como está. Boas cores!

Olá Pedro, os 'capacetes' amarelos fazem de facto esta foto, mas também é engraçado ver a criançada excitada e em especial as duas da frente a puxar pela fila toda. Só é pena não seres um gigante...sinto que os chapéus de encontro à água (em vez da linha do horizonte) ficariam melhor. Lembro-me desta praia - é uma bela baía...

A pleasant scene with all these yellow caps Pedro, I think a small crop from bottom to pano could put this row on a stronger point as alternative. Love the brillant sunny colors here.

Nice capture Pedro. The yellow hats may have a simple purpose, but they also make great photo ops. It's very cute how every child has their own pale for playing in the sand. Some of the backpacks are bigger then the kids ;-)

Funny picture in bright nice light, these children provide a rich variety of colors that combined with the summer light give a perfect holiday impression, of course the yellow hats stand out there, they remind me sort of holiday camps that once were popular in France but have nearly disappeared now.
