Photographer's Note
This is one of the most beautiful places in Geres, but you only can get there on foot. Don't miss a visit to this place, use the photo to know why...
The visit start at the village of "Vilar da Veiga" and goes by the road that drives to "Ermida". After 5 km, you'll find a plate in your right pointing to "Cabril". Turn right and go that way, but be careful! You'll face some accented descendings until arrive to a bridge over the "Arado River". Next to it you have an indication from PNPG. You can park there and get ready to a great and difficult walk.
Go down thru the right margin of the river and you will find some small waterfalls and beautiful lagoons where you can refresh yourself. Continue thru that margin and you'll find very dificult to continue. Go thru the weeds in your right (you can see a fallen three in the way) and follow the track that takes you down to the river. The track is a little bit tiring, but you'll have a big reward at the end.
In the end you'll find a lagoon surrounded by sand and can enjoy one of the most beautiful and biggest waterfalls in Gerês.
