Bush on Fire, a photo from Suceava, East

Usually I don´t do that - excessive PP, I mean. But in this case it just fits. When I saw this burning red bush in the monastry of Sucevita yesterday, I could not resist.

Sucevita is one of the beautiful old monastries in the Romanian Bukovina. It is famous for its painted church (that you don´t see here), its on the UNESCO heritage list and one of the many touristic higlights of the area. Today 75 nuns live in the monastry, and apart from tourism they earn the money to preserve the monastry with agriculture and forestry. What you see on this photo are the fortifications, defending the monastry against the Osman army that occupied the area centuries ago.

Hello Johannes!
Yeah, it did work perfectly this extremely red bush in the very fg! The whole image truly pleases me and I think it's wonderful!
Vertical format, sharpness, exposure, dof, pov and colors are all very good! The composition is pretty effective and quite attractive!

Bin echt neugierig wie du das gemacht hast. Nach PP sieht es nicht, eher nach einem extrem gut belichteten Foto. Natürlich mag ich den Kontrast zwischen den kalten Hintergrundsfarben und dem Busch am meißten.

Hello Johannes,

Great ultra wide angle shot! The foreground is very strong, the red bush literally pops out of the photo. The contrast of the red and the dark tones of the sky creates a very dramatic effect. Nice point of view with great 3D feel.
