The Large Square

Even though Piața Mică (Small Square) isn’t particularly small, Piața Mare (Large Square) is in fact quite a bit large. This is an impression of the Large (or Grand) Square in Sibiu, where children were playing in the fountain in the middle of it.

Hej Lars,
Detta är en vacker plats jag mycket väl känner igen. Min bild härifrån på TE är tagen från några meter längre till vänster och kanske lite närmare fontänen, men framför allt zoomade jag in mer på vattnet och barnen än på de fina husen. Men det här blev ju också bra, och framför allt ger din bild större rättvisa åt de vackra byggnaderna och torgets storlek. Vädret var lika fint båda gångerna.

Interesantan pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
lepa fontana na trgu i arhitektura u pozadini, dobro pokazano sa lepim b0jama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa posetiocima.
Deca uzivaju pored fontane cekajuci mlaz vode.
Lepo mesto za setnju.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.

Hello Lars,
Looks as the small square was as large as the "large-sqiuare". But that not the point: it is interesting to see the architecture & local people.
The littli children made this scene even more attractive to watch.

Hi Lars,
Very attractive presentation from this elegant square. The architecture so stylish and probably built in the same time. The fountain makes a lovely foreground with the opportunity for some reflection and also with the children around it adding more life and charm.

Hello Lars, if there is any opportunity to capture a reflection then as I have said before, you will find it!
The reflection on the pool of water makes this shot quite special in my opinion.
The children are positioned around the fountain, I wonder what they are thinking?

This is a great view. I can see some of the famous "eyes" on two of the buildings, and the architecture is lovely. There is lots of activity, and I especially like the children near the fountain. Nice sunlight, too. Take care!

I also find these fountains attractive but for other reasons than others (mainly kid): I see a great photo opportunity. As you photo shows it they are.

PS: I remember this particular fountain in Sibiu, but I only spent some half an hour there in 2013. :(

Hello Lars,
I remember well this sqare in Sibiu. Lovely view of these characteristic steep roofs with the "eyes".
Such fountains are probably easily to construct and you can find them everywhere, like hanging umbrellas.
