The Church of St. George is one of the oldest wooden churches in Serbia, and also one of the most famous. It is located in the village of Takovo near Gornji Milanovac. The history of this church is related to the raising of the Second Serbian Uprising. In this church, on Palm Sunday in 1815, after Miloš Obrenović raised an uprising, the gathered insurgents took communion and swore allegiance to Miloš Obrenović. It is a cultural monument. It belongs to the Diocese of Žiča of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

It was erected in 1795, on the site of an older building from 1724.
