Photographer's Note

KrstovGrad (CrossCity) is an unusual complex at the top of the hill near City of Kraljevo.
About five thousand paintings, sculptures, icons and other art objects number the collection of Zeljko Kosanin, which this citizen of Kraljevo has been collecting for more than 30 years and which adorns Krstovgrad.

The collection includes sculptures by Ivan Meštrović and Jovan Soldatović, paintings by Rubens and Kahlo, Serbian and Russian icons from the 17th century, silver samovars, King Alexander's dagger and many other valuable objects.

The space in which all that is exhibited spreads over several hundred square meters and is located on a hill above Mataruška Banja, from where there is a view of the Ibar valley and the places where seven Serbian kings were crowned. Hence, in the collection, there is a replica of the throne on which Stefan Prvovenčani was crowned, as well as copies of the table on which the knights of the stone table sat, as well as dishes cut from semi-precious stone.

With its collection, KrstovGrad brings us closer to the spirit of the time in which we were created as a nation, and that space radiates a strange energy, which calms a person.
