Photographer's Note

Among the smaller capital cities in Europe that I have enjoyed the most is Ljubljana, the pleasant capital of Slovenia. I have posted a number of photos from there on different occasions, but now I searched my archive again and found a few more that I decided were not totally useless.

One main photo and one workshop today, more photos to come. Today's main photo was taken on one of the many small bridges across the Ljubljanica river running through the center of the city. It doesn't need any explanation: Just a few friends meeting for a chat. Or maybe the lady to the left was selling flowers and the couple with the bikes were haggling for the price. What do I know? I just liked the atmosphere, the columns and the somewhat gritty look of the façade in the background.

The map coordinates 46.04842 14.50549 will take you to roughly where I was standing. I won't even try to enter those figures the "proper" way.

Please have a look at the WS to see what I found in the nearest street, just a few metres to the left.

Normally I would have put this photo in the categories of "daily life", "architecture" and maybe "transportation", but as you may have noticed the chosen categories are no longer shown. What will go wrong with TE this week?
