Photographer's Note

Haria is one of the charming little villages you can see in the centre of Lanzarote Island. The white color of the houses is typical there. It is quite challenging to photograph the white buildings with a strong light. This picture was taken with the town hall (Ayuntamiento de Haria) behind my back. Town hall façade faces north so most of the time it is in the shade. This lovely square, Plaza de la Constitucion, on the other hand is well lit most of the day. We had our lunch break in this town. It was a tough decision again between overpriced seafood and cheap pizza. I am a big pizza fan so cheap pizza sounds like a win-win situation for me. My wife and daughter loved to browse through numerous jewellery stores there. As opposed to most major towns the shops were operated by local people selling local products, which we gladly supported
