Photographer's Note

I have learned what these creatures are quite after I have taken this photo in the famous La Boqueria food market in Barcelona. It looked to me like feet of a creature rather than a sea food.
This is a seafood called Gooseneck Barnacle (or Percebes in Spain)mostly eaten in Spain and Portugal. It lives on the steep rocky shores of the Atlantic, hence it is too difficult for the fishermen to pick them. This makes it an expensive food. Although its appearance does not appeal appetite, I am curious to taste it during my next visit to Spain or Portugal, because it is said to be more tender and delicious than lobster. Really?
